What a Day!
A day in the life of Amanda! I'll tell ya! I got a little crafting in, and a little baking, and I RAN OVER A SNAKE WITH A LAWN MOWER! Can you believe that! It totally grossed me out. The kids were poking at it and making the funniest faces... I wish I had my camera out!
On Wednesday night during the school year we go to our church for AWANA, which is like boy scouts or girls scouts with memory verses. It's really fun and my kids have really learned a lot. This was our last night of "Cubbies", the 3-5 year old group. So Charley and I made cookies for her leaders today. I used my favorite new stamp to make thank you tags. This stamp may replace the "Nadia" scooter from A Muse which used to be my favorite.
Those little mushrooms are so darned cute! We made oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies! Yum! It's hard to see but the dot's on the mushrooms are sparkly blue. I want a stamp that says "Have a Smurfy Day". For those of you who remember the Smurfs...
Also at AWANA was the father-son basketball tournament. Zach wasn't able to make it home in time, so our friend Andy filled in. They got 2nd place! They were so excited!
Here is a picture right before the championship game. The picture that I took of them with their trophy didn't turn out so well. Both of them had their eyes shut :)... They rocked the church tourny!
One last thing before I sign off on my long over-due blog entry... I made a couple of desserts for Sam's school auction last weekend.
The first one is a deep dish carmel apple pie... The 2nd one is a cherry cheese cake. Someone paid $90.00 dollars for my cheesecake! Can you believe that? Wowie! I guess it's for a good cause (and I hear I make a mean cheesecake... I've got kind of a repuation up at the school)(I'd be embarrassed if they found out that I make hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls with tater tots hehehe!)
Ok, I lied... I did take one more picture today that cracked me up and I want to post it... This really will be the last thing...
Charley was eating a "Frozen M & M"... She REALLY liked it!
Happy Hump Day!

Oh my goodness! Those cakes look yummy! (Cute gift bags too!)

Ewwww!!! I'm so glad you didn't post pics of the munched up snake!!! LOL!! I have a creepy story about a snake in my yard last Summer, there were crows eating it and they flew it up on my roof and it was hanging off and I walked right under it and was looking up cuz I couldn't tell what it was!!!! The crows were fighting over it and I finally realized what it was, completely creeped me out!!! It could've fell on me!!
I haven't done Awana's for my kids yet, I haven't found a place near us that does it. When we were living in Illinios, we went one night with some friends of ours who had their kids in it, was an awesome program!!!
You are completely amazing!! I love all the goodies you make, they're gorgeous, such talent!! Those cookie bags are sweet too!! I NEED THAT THANK YOU STAMP!!! I haven't gotten it yet! It's on my list, but I had other things on top of it so I didn't do it! Love how you put it between the mushroom stems!!!
Your DD is such a cutie!!! What an adorable pic!!!
Have a beautiful day!!
